Brainwashed

Brainwashed is the third Alabaster Penitentiary novel, following a convicted serial killer known as the Carver who finds in the prison's new doctor a man whose hunger for knowledge mirrors his own appetite in unexpected ways. The novel is a dark MM romance with explicitly disturbing content, set entirely within the institutional confines of a maximum-security facility.

Walker Williams and Brent Billings share the narration in a dual-voice format that keeps the opposing perspectives clearly distinct. The novel's premise requires narrators willing to voice characters without redemptive conventionality, and Williams in particular gives the Carver a voice that conveys both the horror and the peculiar logic of someone for whom violence is an organizing principle.
